Not so fast my friend. All is not as it seems.

LeBron's deal is now being reported as only a three year deal, with an option for unrestricted free agency, rather than a five year deal.

It's still pretty good news, but this is an early hint that the purported NIKE contract, which pays a huge bonus if he goes to NY, Chicago or LA, is still in play.

I heard that too, although I've seen it spun as being a salary cap play--i.e., he could get more money in later years because of adjustments to the cap that will be made when the CBA expires after the third year of his deal.
