Sure, Bud, it's a Classic

U.S. loses to Canada in baseball. Yup, it's a classic alright. Good idea Bud. Think Dontrelle Willis might have done a little better with a little Spring Training?

Don't listen to any of your critics in the media. Forget what Steinbrenner says. Ignore David Wells' comments too. You're right, Bud. You're always right. They'll put it on your tombstone. If you hang around as commissioner much longer, they may put it on baseball's too.

Losing is not so bad. Its one game. Pick yourself up and go after the next one. Baseball is a game of stats. The problem is that a small tourn. does not let the stats play out. Besides, you should be more upset that Leiter was let anywhere near the field. That is where the game was lost.

Leiter has no business being on the roster, but this tournament has no business BEING.

It's not about the loss--okay, it's a little about the loss, but your point about the tourney format is well taken. I just think the whole concept of taking a bunch of guys who haven't even been through spring training and putting them into some trumped-up three-week exhibition extravaganza is dumb.

I know this thing is intended to showcase baseball to a global audience, but I think all it's going to accomplish is to make sure that we'll see even crappier April baseball than usual.

Additionally, has anyone mentioned that Bonds sucks?
