White Sox 7, Astros 5

It didn't make the morning papers, but the White Sox beat the Astros in 14th innings to take a three games to none lead in the World Series. I admit it, I didn't make it past the 9th inning, but ESPN.com's Gene Wojciechowski did, and he's very proud of himself this morning. Click here to read Gene's column, which is mostly devoted to scolding you for going to bed, and for generally not tuning in to watch the World Series.

These "why aren't they watching ?" columns have become annual events among sportswriters with nothing better to do. You've got to wonder who they think their audience is---do these guys believe that people who aren't interested in the World Series read columns bemoaning the lack of interest in the World Series?
